Making Bread

After a lot of tries here are the pictures of our bread making!
As a class we have learnt about flour and what we need to add to it to make bread dough. 
We all loved tasting our giant jam sandwich!
Some people even had sandwiches with the mung beans and alfalfa sprouts that we sprouted on Enviro day. Others got to try the cress that we have been growing! 

The Snake Cake

This week Room B have been reading a book called 'The Snake Cake' about a Queen who is looking for a special cake for her birthday. Nobody in the town can make a cake she likes ... Until the children make a snake cake from biscuits and icing. 

Mrs Mackie came and helped us make a snake cake, we had so much fun!

Aaaannnnd it was very yummy!

Japanese Lunch!

Akira bought a super special lunch to Room B last week.
It was sushi and rice in a Japanese lunch box. 
We loved the chop sticks.

The Needs of a Plant

On Enviro day today we are going to be doing some planting. We need to know what a plant needs ... 

Something very exciting happened in Room B on Tuesday at reading time... our butterfly finally emerged from its chrysalis. It must have been very comfortable in there because it stayed in there for nearly a month. 
We were so lucky to see it emerging! After it came out we left it on the plant outside to dry it's wings. It flew away a few hours later.

Autumn Time

It is autumn! Room B have been taking some beautiful autumn pictures around the school. Take a look: 

Reading Time

Wow! We have been doing some exciting things during reading time at the moment. Some people have made some great autumn apple trees out of play dough, others have made apples with a little worm poking out!! I don't think that would taste very nice!
