Little Lamb in Room B

Brooke and Crystal bought in a brand new little lamb to visit Room B. It was born on their farm the night before.
We all thought it was very cute, especially when it was doing its little baa's.

Visit from an Olympian

Yesterday we were very lucky to have an Olympian visit us! His name is Shane Reed and he went to the Beijing Olympics in 2008 as a triathlete. We all learnt about what a triathlon is, you have to swim, bike and run! The race takes about 1 hour and 55 minutes. Mr Reed told us about how hard he had to train and all the yummy things he had to give up to be fit enough to race. Even though there was free McDonalds at the Olympic Games he couldn't eat it until after his race. He has been a World Champion three times and he came 34th at the Olympics. He told us that if we want to go to the Olympics one day we need to work hard and listen to our parents and teachers. Here are a few special things he brought to show us.

Another Bronze for New Zealand!

Rebecca Scown and Juliette Haigh have won bronze for New Zealand in the Rowing! Congratulations girls. Room B knows all the hard work it would have taken for them to get there after our Olympian talk from Shane Reed yesterday.
