Teddy Bear's Picnic

All of our Teddy Bear's came to school on Friday for a picnic. We had a lovely time sharing them with the class and then eating our lunch all together. 

Fractions with Fairy Bread

We are learning about fractions at maths time at the moment. We know all about halves and quarters! When you cut something in half there are two parts and when you cut something in quarters there are four parts. We all thought fairy bread was a great way to learn about halves and quarters!

Thanks for making such an awesome effort with litterless lunches Room B!We have had a talk with Mrs Cowan and we know that a litterless lunch can have one piece of rubbish and a yoghurt pot. We just need to rememeber to take yoghurt pots home to wash and recycle them.

My favourite special teddy’s name is Chihuahua. He is orange and cute. He makes a sound, “arrw, arrw.” He has a circle for his tummy and his head is an oval. He has a little ma ears. He has little arms and little legs. He is soft and cuddly. He catches my bad dreams and that’s why he is my favourite teddy. I love him and I sleep with him.   - Cate

 

My teddy is Koala Cat. He is grey and his nose is black. I play with him and with my other teddies. I love my Koala because he is cute and he has a baby koala. - Jamie

My bear is called Goldy because he is gold with a gold ribbon and he is furry too. I sometimes sleep with him and sometimes he sits on my book shelf at the top. I have had him for six years and I love him. - Kayden

We are an Enviro School and we are always trying to think of ways to help the earth. An easy thing that we can do each day is to reduce the rubbsish in our lunch box. Well done to those people who are bringing litterless lunches to school!

More Special Readers

 We had two more special readers come in this week! Charlene and Heidi came and shared some more lovely stories with us for book week. 

Special Reader

Room B was very lucky to have a guest reader come in on Friday afternoon. Ian McKelvie came to read us a special book. We got to ask him a few questions about being Mayor and working with the Prime Minister. He told us that he loves to read in the car.

Book Swap

On Friday we all got to bring an old book from home, that we had read lots of times, to swap with someone elses old book. It was a great way for us to have something new to read. We were all so happy with the 'new' books we got to take home!

We are firewise!

Fireman David and Fireman Kevin came to visit us on Wednesday. They wanted to hear all about our Firewise learning. They were both very pleased with all the learning that we had done!

We got to ppractice what we would do in a fire by getting low and crawling under the smoke, we had to shout "fire, fire, fire!"
