Succulents and Cacti

At the nursery on Friday we all saw succullents and a cactus. We saw that they have thick leaves that sometimes have prickles. Succulents have thick leaves so that they can store water up to drink. This means they are good plants for the desert becasue they don't need much water.

Today we have a new writing goal. We are trying to make our writing easy to read. We are The Elephants group and we were putting our letters on the line. We think we did a super job! What do you think? 

Our Nursery Adventure

Today we went on a trip to the school nursery. We learnt about succulents and lots of other plants! We saw how the nursery works. It is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday lunchtimes. I am sure we will all be going to help Mrs Cowan and her team!

Playground Treat

In Room B we have all been wokring together to fill up our marble jar and get a treat! We have been really following our school rainbow and working together to get marbles in our jar. So last week we had 15 minutes free play on the junior playground! It was so fun exploring on there with nobody else around!

Enviro Day!

Here are some of our stories about our fabulous Enviro Day....

Last Friday MSS had Enviro Day!! First we went to see the birds and we had a picture with them. Then we looked around the place. The next thing we did was go to the field and we planted a tree with Room A. Both classrooms planted a tree. We planted a   native tree and it was an evergreen tree. Then it was morning tea time. When it was over we had our milk and we had a treasure hunt and my buddy was Libby. We had to find stuff in our garden but me and Libby did not finish the sheet. In the afternoon we made sandwiches and I had ham, cheese,          cucumber and lettuce. Then we did some art. We made some trees for our pledges to go on and then school was over. I went home. I had the best day   ever!

Last Friday was Enviro Day. We had a healthy sandwich. I had cheese, ham and sauce. It was so so yummy. We planted some trees. It was so fun. It was a     beautiful day.

Last Friday it was a big day for MSS because it was Enviro Day. First we went to the new bird aviary and we saw geckos too. Then we picked up leaves and rubbish. My favourite part of the day was planting a tree on the field. It was so so fun        because I got to help plant the tree. I love Enviro Day the best!

Last Friday MSS had    Enviro Day! It was so fun because we made a yum bun. I had some carrots, cucumber, ham and cheese. It was exciting.

Last Friday Room B had      Conservation Week! We went to the nursery to look at the geckos and the new bird aviary. My favourite part of the day was planting trees. It was awesome!
