Look at the costumes these lovely learners brought to school today. Their Grandparents brought them back from Spain. They are traditional costumes used for dancing!

Production Writing
Wow! We have been writing for people about our production this week. Here is some of our great writing!!
It’s production time at MSS! Our school production is called ‘In the Nick of Time’. The classes are each doing a different song. We are doing We Will Rock You and We Rock. The band is playing the guitar. The first and second row start on their knees and the rest start on their feet. We finish with our hands down and our heads down. I am in the second row. I feel a bit nervous but I will be ok.

It’s production time at MSS! All of the classes are doing different songs in the production. My class is dancing to We Will Rock You and We Rock. At the production people will be sitting on the seats ready for us to perform. I’m in the front row and when they open the curtains I am going to be nervous. But I am looking forward to it because it will be fun.

We will be coming down the secret passageway. The Civic Centre it will be crowded. There will be a lot of people. I am looking forward to going there.

Fantastic Playdough
Some clever Room B people made these creations today. They are all things that live in the sea, can you guess what they are?
There is a star fish, some fish eggs, crabs and a ship with pearls hidden in it.

These are the Manawatu Turbos who came and visited MSS today! They spoke about all the hard work they have to put in to play rugby. There is a lot of training and sometimes they get injured which means they can't play for a little while. Thanks for answering all our questions!

Little Lamb in Room B
Brooke and Crystal bought in a brand new little lamb to visit Room B. It was born on their farm the night before.
We all thought it was very cute, especially when it was doing its little baa's.

Visit from an Olympian
Yesterday we were very lucky to have an Olympian visit us! His name is Shane Reed and he went to the Beijing Olympics in 2008 as a triathlete. We all learnt about what a triathlon is, you have to swim, bike and run! The race takes about 1 hour and 55 minutes. Mr Reed told us about how hard he had to train and all the yummy things he had to give up to be fit enough to race. Even though there was free McDonalds at the Olympic Games he couldn't eat it until after his race. He has been a World Champion three times and he came 34th at the Olympics. He told us that if we want to go to the Olympics one day we need to work hard and listen to our parents and teachers. Here are a few special things he brought to show us.
